Overpayments
Information you list on the application or review must be accurate. Knowingly providing false or misleading information may result in us taking legal action against you, either criminal or civil. Your benefits may be reduced and you may be ineligible for benefits for a period of time.
Intentional Program Violations (IPV)
Intentional Program Violation will be pursued against any household, which gives false statements to mislead, misrepresent, or conceal, or withhold facts needed to accurately determine program eligibility for SNAP, Childcare Assistance and TANF. IPV penalties are 12 months for the 1st offense, 24 months for the 2nd offense and permanently for the 3rd or subsequent offense. Full and immediate repayment is requested for any LIHEAP overpayment.
